Consultation with the ex-service community 

Working with the ex-service community is an important objective of the Department and the Government. There are two main avenues through which we consult the ex-service community;

• The Prime Ministerial Advisory Council on Ex-Service Matters (PMAC) provides the community with a voice at the highest levels of Government;
• The Veterans' Affairs Consultation Framework provides national and state forums in which DVA and ESOs work together on issues integral to the operations of the Department and the needs of the ex-service community.
