My income and assets

If you are receiving an income support pension (eg service pension, income support supplement or age pension), the amount you receive depends on your personal circumstances, your income and assets.  The pension is calculated under two separate tests — the income test and the assets test. The test paying the lower rate of pension is the one applied. See the following Factsheets:
