Who can register for an attendance pass?

  • Attendance passes will be made available within three categories of eligibility:
    • A. Australian citizens and permanent residents
      • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident and hold a current passport, but do not need to be living in Australia at the time of application.
      • If you were not born in Australia you will also need to provide your Australian citizenship certificate number or your permanent resident visa number.
    • B. Citizens of the host country
      • Must be a citizen of the host country of an overseas commemorative service and hold a current passport or national identity card number.
    • C. Citizens of other countries 
      • Must hold a current passport or national identity card number to apply.
  • Only one registration per eligible person is permitted in the application.

How can I amend my registration details?

  • Go to https://overseascommemorations.ticketek.com.au and log into your account using your email and password.
    • You will not be able to change your:
      • First Name
      • Last Name
      • Date of Birth.
  • If you notice an error in your name or date of birth in your registration, please call 1300 364 002 with your Registration ID number.

How can I register for an attendance pass?

  • Attendance pass registrations can only be made online, using the prescribed form. If you cannot make a registration online, please call 1300 364 002.
  • Applications can be made online at https://overseascommemorations.ticketek.com.au.
  • Attendance passes will be delivered by express post or email one month before depending on the commemoration. The registration form will identify if your attendance pass is an email or hard format. If you are departing Australia prior to then, your attendance pass will be available for collection at the commemorative site.
  • Should attendance passes remain available 24 hours prior to the commemoration, these will be made available at the commemorative site utilising a ‘first come, first served’ approach.

If I am unsuccessful in the application, is there a waitlist?

  • The waitlist rules within this category will only be utilised in the event that all available attendance passes are allocated.
  1. Waitlists will be held in order of application, in accordance with the ‘first in’ principle.
  2. Category (a) eligible applicants on the waitlist may be allocated an attendance pass from categories (a), (b) and (c), and will be afforded the first opportunity should attendance passes become available.
  3. Category (b) eligible applicants on the waitlist may be allocated an attendance pass from categories (b) and (c), and will be afforded the second opportunity should attendance passes become available after category (a) applicant waitlist has been exhausted.
  4. Category (c) eligible applicants on the waitlist may be allocated an attendance pass from category (c), and will be afforded the final opportunity should attendance passes become available after category (a) and (b) applicant waitlists have been exhausted.
  5. If an individual on the waitlist is offered an attendance pass and declines that offer, then the individual will be removed from the waitlist and must make a new application should they change their mind.
  6. Passes continue to be offered to individuals on the waitlist, in sequential order, up until 14 days prior to the commemorative service. All remaining attendance passes after this date will then be distributed at the entrance to the commemoration in accordance with Rule 1.4 ix.

How will I know I have been successful in my registration?

  • You will receive a confirmation email from Ticketek (noreply@ticketek.com.au) following the submission of a registration indicating your attendance pass status.
  • You can also see if you have been successful by checking your registration on your account page on the registration website - https://overseascommemorations.ticketek.com.au/
    • Once at the home page, click ‘View My Account’.
    • You will then see all of your registrations and a status next to them.
    • If your status says ‘confirmed’ in green you have successfully secured a pass and do not need to provide any further information.
    • If your status says ‘pending’ in orange then you have secured a pass but you need to provide additional information before you can receive it. If you do not provide the required information, your pass will be cancelled.

I’ve lost my password, can I get a new one?

  • There is a lost password function on the registration website.
  • When logging into your account on the registration website please click ‘Forgotten your password?‘
  • Put in the email address you used to set up your account on the registration website.
  • Check your email account to receive information on how to reset your password.

I am a direct descendant, can I receive an automatic attendance pass?

  • No individual other than invited official guests of the Australian Government will be given preferential treatment within the attendance pass allocation process.

Can I transfer my pass to a friend or family member?

  • No.
  • An attendance pass is non-transferable and cannot be used by anyone other than the person whose name appears on it. It cannot be traded, offered for sale or exchanged in any circumstances.
  • All attendance pass-holders will be required to have with them at all times identification in the form of a passport (or photocopy of), national identity card or a current Australian issued driving licence.
  • If you are no longer able to attend an overseas commemorative service, please go back to the registration system and cancel you pass so that your attendance pass can be reallocated to the next applicant on the waitlist.

I need to renew my passport. Do I have to wait to submit my registration application?

  • No.
  • You will receive 60 calendar days to confirm your passport number, Australian visa or national identity card number.
  • Attendance pass applications are considered ‘unconfirmed’ until you have submitted full identification details. 
  • Should these details not be provided within the prescribed time, unconfirmed passes will be made available to other individuals.
  • Your name and passport or identity card number will be printed on your attendance pass and will be checked against your passport or identity card on entry to a commemorative site.

I am booked on a tour that will attend an overseas commemorative service. Do I need an attendance pass?

  • Yes, each individual will need their own attendance pass.
  • Please contact your tour provider or travel agency and ask if they are arranging your attendance passes on your behalf.
  • Tour operators cannot guarantee attendance at commemorative services.

Does my child need an attendance pass?

  • All individuals over the age of two years, on the day of the commemorative service, must hold an attendance pass to gain access an overseas commemorative service.
  • Individuals under the age of two are not conferred the right to any seat at all, and must sit on the lap of an attendance pass holder.

I want to register my family, can I submit one application for everyone or do we all have to do one application?

  • Each individual will require their own application.
  • An account holder can submit up to 10 applications for their family using one logon.
  • Once you complete your own online registration, you will be able to complete up to 9 others from your account page.

I am not an Australian citizen, can I apply for an attendance pass?

  • Yes.
  • There will be attendance passes available for citizens of the host nation where an overseas commemorative service is being held.
  • There will also be attendance passes available for citizens of other nationalities.

What identification will I need to attend a commemorative service?

  • All attendance pass-holders will be required to have with them at all times during the commemoration, identification in the form of a passport (or photocopy of), national identity card or a current Australian issued driving licence.

What if I am not in the country when I am scheduled to receive my pass?

  • In the case of ezyTickets, you will receive it by email. If you have a smart phone or device your ezyTicket does not have to be printed and can be scanned directly from your device.
  • For services with commemorative passes, there will be an opportunity to obtain your attendance pass from a box office in the days leading up to the service. Alternatively, you can have your pass printed out at the commemorative site box office.
