About the Graduate Program
The Graduate Development Program builds on the skills and knowledge you have gained at university with comprehensive formal and on the job training. Throughout the 10 month program (starting February 2009) you will :
- take part in three work rotations - designed to give you exposure to different areas of the Department and to build and develop networks;
- participate in on-the-job learning and development, as well as formal training including;
- Project Management
- Contract Management
- Risk Management
- Writing for the APS
- Policy Formulation and Advice
- Influencing Skills
- contribute to the development and delivery of Department policies and programs and work directly with the Veterans we support.
Most graduate positions are located in Canberra however opportunities may be available for graduates to be placed in other capital city offices.
