Country visits and outreach program

The Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) conducts visits to country areas in NSW/ACT, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia. The outreach program provides information on DVA benefits and entitlements to assist the veteran community in accessing health and other community services. The aim of the program is to promote and maintain self-sufficiency, well-being and quality of life amongst members of the veteran community.

Outreach services are provided to the veteran communities in both outer metropolitan and regional areas. The format of an outreach program is tailored to meet the specific needs of the area and the type of information to be conveyed. Outreach in South Australia

The Outreach program in South Australia provides information on Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) benefits and entitlements to assist the veteran community in accessing health and other community services. The aim of the program is to promote and maintain self-sufficiency, well-being and quality of life amongst members of the veteran community.

Outreach services are provided to the veteran communities in metropolitan and regional South Australia. In the lead up to visits posters are distributed in the community and letters are sent to clients.
