Australian Defence Veterans' Covenant - For veterans

The Australian Defence Veterans’ Covenant encourages Australians to recognise and acknowledge the unique nature of military service and honor your service and sacrifice to our country. The Covenant includes a Veteran Card, lapel pin and oath to provide the opportunity for Australians, including businesses, organisations and community groups, to identify and show respect to veterans and their families.

Register for the Covenant

Veterans and Reservists can now apply for all components of the Covenant, including the Veteran Card, lapel pin and oath, online via MyService.

Depending on your type of service, you may be eligible for all, or some of the Covenant items. These items will be sent in the mail, noting that the lapel pin and oath will be sent separately to the Veteran Card.

Existing DVA health card holders do not need to register for the new Veteran Card, however will need to register to receive the lapel pin and oath. Existing DVA health cards can continue to be used as per normal until the new Veteran Card is issued.
