Pension pay day 26th January 2012
As pension pay day 26 January 2012 falls on Australia Day, which is a national public holiday, pensions will be paid one day earlier on Wednesday 25 January 2012. As all major banks are closed on this public holiday it is important that members of the veteran community who usually visit their bank on pension pay day do so on Wednesday 25 January 2012.
This will ensure that fortnightly pension payments are available prior to the public holiday.
Assistance to switch to digital TV
The Household Assistance Scheme provides free assistance to eligible veterans to receive, free of charge, a high definition set-top box, installation, demonstration of the equipment and 12 months warranty, service and support. Read more about the scheme.
Coordinated Veterans' Care
The Coordinated Veterans’ Care (CVC) Program is a positive step to improve the wellbeing and quality of care for chronically ill Gold Card holders. The program will pay general practioners and nursing providers to coordinate care for Gold Card holders who are at risk of hospitalisation.
