Mouquet Farm Battle Exploit Plaque
Mouquet Farm Battle Exploit Plaque, France
A German fortress to the west of Pozieres, Mouquet Farm was the scene of ferocious fighting from July to September 1916. Little remains of the old farmhouse but a new one has been built nearby. A plaque to commemorate the AIF's effort and its 6,300 casualties, is at the entrance to the farm, by the side of the Pozieres-Thiepval road.
